Gojiberry loves a spot in full sun. These deciduous shrubs are very thorny. They like a position in dry, humus rich soil and are very suitable as a thorny hedge around your garden plot. The flowers (from May until October) and the berries are beautiful in colour.
Gojiberries can be harvested in late summer/early autumn. Do wear gloves when harvesting or pruning. To harvest cut the small branches bearing the berries and remove the berries carefully. Gojiberries are eaten fresh or dried. They make a delicious jam or juice.
Protect the base of the shrub with compost or leaves. Prune to keep a compact shrub.
